Church in honour of the Holy Royal Martyrs

churches of the convent

Patron Saint's Day: July 17

The lower church (located in the basement of the church in honour of the Reigning Icon of the Mother of God) in honour of the Holy Royal Martyrs was consecrated on October 13, 2012. It resembles ancient catacomb churches of the first Christians. It is in this church that the Sacrament of Baptism is usually held: there is a spacious stone font for baptism of children and adults in the centre of the nave. It is decorated with stone carving and mosaic.

Romanov Family is an Imperial / Tsarist Family not "royal". Please correct this inapropriate term. As far I know Russia was an empire and had an Imperial Family, Russia was not a kingdom, the Tsar was the Emperor not a king. Please correct this and avoid this confusion.
The term "royal" is always related to a king or queen. For an emperor you must use "imperial" or "tsarist".
Please use some english dictionnary to inform you about the difference between a king and an emperor and avoid such disturbing confusions because you give to Romanovs an inferior title. Please stop translating from russian into english "tsarist" by "royal", it is not correct. They were IMPERIAL FAMILY, IMPERIAL MARTYRS, or TSARIST. Not "royal".
Thank you. Kyrie eleison.
